This will support all of the MicroLogix controllers only. However, the next available product for the MicroLogix family is RSLogix Micro Starter Edition, and is not free. The free Edition is called RSLogix Micro Starter Lite Edition and as you correctly say only supports the MicroLogix 10.
You're forgetting one other Edition in the middle. The highlighted Editions, RSLogix 500 Starter or Standard, would suggest they are the minimum Editions required for those MicroLogix controllers. That's OK in your case because the MicroLogix 1200 doesn't support that functionality either. RSLogix 500 Starter is less expensive but does not support online editing at runtime. The MicroLogix 1200, 1400, and 1500 models all require RSLogix 500 Starter or Standard. The Free edition of RSLogix 500 only supports the MicroLogix 1000 and MicroLogix 1100 models.
